Kabega Christian School (also known as Kabega Christian Independent School, or KCS) is a small independent Christian high school in the Kabega area of Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth), based at the Walker Drive Shopping Centre on the corner of Walker Drive and Kabega Road. It began as the dream of Pastor Herman du Toit of the Kabega Worship Centre, opening its doors on 1 January 1999 with just four Grade R pupils. While the founders initially hoped to build up a full primary school, it was the high school that grew the fastest; the primary phase was eventually closed in 2005, and the school celebrated its first own matriculants in 2006.

Today KCS is a secondary school founded firmly on Biblical principles, committed to promoting a Christ-centred lifestyle and Biblical values while caring for the complete education of each learner – summed up in its watchwords, “Back to God, His Word and the Family.” It follows the national Department of Basic Education curriculum, leading to the National Senior Certificate, and is registered with the Department of Education and accredited by Umalusi.

A distinctive feature of the school is its focus on teaching learners how to learn – including different study methods, listening techniques, spelling through its “Spellathon,” and a back-to-basics approach to mathematics. Full fee and admissions details are available directly from the school.
