Midstream College
Midstream College is a private, parallel-medium school with a Christian ethos in the Midstream Estate, south of Centurion (between Pretoria and Johannesburg). Offering instruction in either Afrikaans or English, it forms part of the Midstream family of schools – together providing a one-stop educational journey from Grade 1 to Grade 12, with its feeder primaries (Laerskool Midstream College Primary and Laerskool Midstream Ridge Primary) and pre-primary schools. The high school opened in 2007, and its first Grade 12s wrote the IEB examinations in 2009.
The school is known for high academic standards, top-quality teachers and firm, values-driven discipline, built on its core values of Integrity, Respect, Excellentia, Loyalty and Community. Pupils write the IEB National Senior Certificate, with a strong academic record – the 2024 Matric class achieved 77 distinctions in Mathematics alone – supported by smaller classes, individual attention and university and career guidance from the early grades.
Co-curricular life is full and balanced: sport includes athletics, rugby, cricket, hockey, netball, tennis, squash, swimming, golf, equestrian, mountain biking and chess, alongside a rich cultural programme, clubs, grade camps, outreach and an adventure club. The school also runs popular educational tours abroad and an annual Belgian exchange programme.
The spacious, secure campus boasts some of the most modern facilities in the country, including a large auditorium, an indoor swimming pool (and a second pool), two hockey Astros, an athletics track, rugby fields, cricket pitches, netball, tennis and squash courts, and a well-equipped gymnasium. Full fee and admissions details are available directly from the school.
