Reddam House Bedfordview

Reddam House Bedfordview is a premium, co-educational, non-denominational private school set on the leafy grounds of the old Kensington Golf Course in Bedfordview, on Johannesburg’s East Rand. Part of the global Inspired Education group, it traces its origins to Bedfordview Christian College (founded in 1993) and was incorporated into the Reddam House group in 2003. Today it educates more than 1,300 students from age 1 to Grade 12 and writes the IEB National Senior Certificate.

The school operates across two campuses: the BCC Campus, home to the Reggio Emilia-inspired Early Learning School and Junior Preparatory; and the 20-acre Main Campus, housing the Senior Preparatory and College. Reddam offers a balanced, holistic and internationally minded education, with specialist teaching across more than 20 subjects (including French, Italian and Portuguese), an individualised approach, and a strong emphasis on leadership and philanthropy – College students complete a minimum of 20 community-service hours each year.

Academically the College achieves strong IEB results year on year, with 107 candidates sitting the 2025 examinations, preparing students for top universities locally and abroad. Co-curricular life is rich across sport, the performing arts and societies, including the student-run Reddam Broadcasting Services news channel.

Facilities are among the best in the area, including an Astroturf hockey field, an Olympic-sized water polo pool, two rugby fields, a cricket oval, tennis courts and a swimming pool, alongside art, drama, dance and music studios, computer and science laboratories, a hall and a library.
