Curro Aurora
Curro Aurora is an independent, co-educational school in Sundowner, Randburg, Johannesburg, part of the Curro group. It educates learners from age two through to Grade 12 across a preschool, primary school and high school, with English as the language of instruction, and writes the IEB National Senior Certificate.
The school teaches the national CAPS curriculum through Curro’s project-based, self-discovery approach, with small classes for individual attention and a focus on 21st-century skills. Staff model positive behaviour grounded in Christian values, and the school works closely with learners and parents to build a strong sense of community. Technology and future-focused learning feature strongly, with Robotics and IT offered as subjects and isiZulu and Sepedi available as additional languages; senior pupils can also take elective subjects delivered live online by Curro teachers. An on-site educational psychologist and Learner Support Centre provide academic and pastoral support.
Academics are balanced with a wide variety of sport and cultural activities – from soccer, cheerleading and basketball to art, choir and even Esports – tailored to the interests of the local community. The stunning campus offers excellent facilities, including AstroTurf fields, basketball courts and an indoor heated swimming pool, alongside modern, well-equipped classrooms.
The school also offers a transport service. Full fee and admissions details are available directly from the school.
