Curro Langebaan
Curro Langebaan is a leading independent, co-educational school in the West Coast town of Langebaan, and part of the national Curro group. It offers a continuous education from its Curro Castle nursery (from three months old) through Grade R to Grade 12 – making it a school of choice on the West Coast, with around 950 learners. Teaching takes place in English and Afrikaans, and the school writes the IEB matric examination at the end of Grade 12.
Class sizes are kept small (a maximum of around 25) so that each learner receives personal attention, and the national CAPS curriculum is delivered through Curro’s signature project-based learning and self-discovery approach – using hands-on research, experiments and assignments to make learning real beyond the textbook while building critical-thinking and problem-solving skills. Specialised subjects include Robotics and Coding, additional languages such as Afrikaans and Sepedi are offered, and the Curro Choice initiative gives learners access to extra subjects through live online lessons. A dedicated learner-support specialist assists pupils with learning barriers, including ADHD and dyslexia, and helps develop effective study methods.
Beyond academics, Curro Langebaan balances learning with a broad range of sport and cultural activities – from biathlon to oratory – to develop well-rounded, confident individuals. The school also offers modern classrooms and laboratories, boarding accommodation from Grade 5, and a school-transport service. As part of the Curro group, learners enjoy preference when applying to other Curro schools. Full fee and admissions details are available directly from the school.
