The International School of Cape Town (ISCT) is a private, co-educational international school in Claremont, Cape Town, and one of the oldest Cambridge schools in the country, offering the Cambridge curriculum from Nursery all the way through to A Levels since 1998. Around 460 students from more than 40 countries – over half of them South African – learn across its two campuses, which function as one school: the original Woodland Heights, a characterful 1920s building with terraced gardens that houses the upper primary and high school, and Struben House in Eden Road, an enchanting setting for the Early Years and Key Stage 1, complete with a 500-year-old yellowwood tree.

ISCT delivers the internationally respected Cambridge programme – Cambridge Primary and Lower Secondary, the IGCSE (Years 10–11) and Cambridge International AS and A Levels (Years 12–13) – in a warm, supportive and academically rigorous environment, with small classes of around 20 to 24 students. The school consistently outperforms the Cambridge global averages, and its qualifications are recognised by over 1,400 universities worldwide, including leading institutions in the UK and US, while also providing a matric-exemption pathway into South African universities.

Because the Cambridge system is offered in more than 160 countries, ISCT is a natural choice for internationally mobile families, offering flexible entry points and a portable, transferable education; it is equally popular with local families seeking a global curriculum. Teaching is in English, with children warmly welcomed from all language backgrounds. Beyond academics, students enjoy on- and off-campus sport and a holistic, whole-child approach. Full fee and admissions details are available directly from the school.
