Reddam House Waterfall

Reddam House Waterfall is a premium, co-educational, non-denominational independent school set within the secure, leafy Waterfall Estate in Midrand, bordering the Jukskei River between Johannesburg and Pretoria. Opened in 2012 and part of the global Inspired Education group, it welcomes children from age 1 to 18 – across Nursery, Preparatory and College – on a single campus, and writes the IEB National Senior Certificate.

The school blends a Reggio Emilia-inspired approach in the Early Years with an internationally minded, technology-rich education higher up, including a dedicated STEAM space for robotics and coding and the use of virtual reality in the classroom. Classes are capped at around 25 for individual attention. Its motto, “We Shall Give Back,” anchors a strong servant-leadership and community-service ethos through the “Reddam Gives Back” programme, while membership of the Inspired network opens up overseas camps and student exchanges.

Academically the College is consistently strong, achieving a 100% IEB matric pass rate (with 77 candidates and numerous distinctions in 2025) and offering individualised university and career guidance for students applying locally and abroad. Co-curricular life is rich: sport includes hockey, swimming, netball, touch rugby, soccer, cricket, basketball and tennis, while the arts span the Music @ Reddam programme, dance (Dance World Cup and Royal Academy of Dance exams), drama (Trinity College London) and art.

Facilities are excellent – an Olympic-sized swimming pool, a world-class Astroturf, tennis and netball courts, a 550-seat auditorium, lecture theatres, science laboratories, and art, drama and dance studios, plus walking and mountain-bike trails on the estate. Reddam House Waterfall is a day school (no boarding).
