St Peter’s is one of Johannesburg’s leading independent schools – an Anglican Diocesan family of schools founded in 1950 by Stanley Dodson, set across campuses in Paulshof and Sandton on some 21 hectares. The prep schools comprise a Pre-Prep, a Boys Prep and a Girls Prep (Grade 0 to Grade 7), feeding into the co-educational St Peter’s College (Grades 8 to 12). The school takes its motto, Servate Fidem (“Serve the Faith”), and its character from a clearly defined value system of respect, courtesy, and honest, open communication, lived out through daily scripture, weekly chapel and the pastoral care of school chaplains.

Academically, the prep schools follow a bespoke, values-based curriculum within a “Thinking School” environment, with a strong focus on inclusivity and differentiation – supported by an on-site Academic Support Unit staffed by educational psychologists and occupational, speech and remedial therapists. The College runs an IEB-aligned programme with a wide subject choice and Advanced Programmes in the senior years.

Co-curricular life is rich: sport includes athletics, cross-country, hockey, netball, cricket, swimming, water polo, tennis, basketball and golf, while the Music, Art, Drama and Dance (MADD) Centre anchors a strong creative-arts programme. Social responsibility and spiritual development are woven throughout school life.

Facilities across the 21-hectare grounds include modern classrooms, extensive playing fields, two sporting pavilions, the Wahoo indoor aquatic centre, the MADD Centre and a dedicated Mathematics Centre. Admission is by application through the relevant campus admissions office, with assessments from Grade 1 and interviews for Grade 0; fees and the enrolment process are available from the school.
