De La Salle Holy Cross College is a leading independent, co-educational Catholic day school in Victory Park, on the Randburg side of Johannesburg. Formed through the amalgamation of schools founded by the De La Salle Brothers (the Lasallian tradition) and the Holy Cross Sisters, it educates around 1,100 pupils from Grade RR to Grade 12 and writes the IEB National Senior Certificate across all grades.

Guided by its motto, “Be first, that you may be of service,” and the philosophy “Love First, Teach Second,” the College offers a holistic, faith-based education that is open and welcoming to all, nurturing pupils spiritually, intellectually, physically, socially and emotionally. It runs a distinctive Junior High model for Grades 7 to 9 and keeps classes to a maximum of 29 for individual attention.

Academically the school is excellent, with a remarkable 36-to-37-year unbroken 100% matric pass rate. Pupil well-being is central: the College’s Wellness Centre – staffed by educational and counselling psychologists, academic-support specialists and a social worker – supports pupils, parents and staff at no additional cost. Learning in the early grades emphasises play and experiential, growth-mindset teaching.

The College offers a strong, well-coached programme of sport (with structured league competition, trials and annual first-team tours) and a vibrant cultural offering, plus aftercare for Grades RR to 7. Recent annual fees range from roughly R67,000 to R112,000 depending on grade, with sibling discounts; full details are available from the school.
