Curro Waterfall
Curro Waterfall is an independent, co-educational, English-medium school in Waterfall City, Midrand, between Johannesburg and Pretoria, part of the Curro group. It educates learners from 18 months old through to Grade 12 across a preschool, primary school and high school, and writes the IEB National Senior Certificate.
The school teaches the national CAPS curriculum through Curro’s project-based, self-discovery approach, with small classes (capped at around 25) for individual attention. It is positioned as a premium, innovation-focused school: an integrated innovation programme runs Robotics, a drone curriculum, 3D printing and laser cutting, alongside Computer Science, coding and a STEAMD classroom with a VR system. Daily supervised homework sessions, a leadership programme, subject-choice assessments, Grade 11 career guidance and educational-psychologist support round out a comprehensive offering, with international-exposure programmes adding a global dimension. Afrikaans and isiZulu are available as additional languages, and the primary years include music enrichment and swimming lessons.
Academics are balanced with a strong sport and cultural programme. Facilities are excellent, including an indoor heated swimming pool, an indoor multipurpose sports auditorium, an international-size sports field, an AstroTurf cricket wicket, four tennis courts, a dedicated music school, innovation and science labs and an on-site coffee shop.
Recent high-school fees are at the premium end, in the region of R140,000 to R150,000 a year, with sibling and early-payment discounts available. Full fee and admissions details are available directly from the school.
