Roshnee Islamic School
Roshnee Islamic School is an independent, co-educational Islamic combined school in Roshnee, Vereeniging, in the Vaal Triangle (Sedibeng/Emfuleni) south of Johannesburg. Educating learners from Grade 1 to Grade 12 on one campus at 15 Babas Salaam Street, it is an Umalusi-accredited private institution serving the Roshnee community and surrounds, with several hundred learners.
Guided by its motto – “Knowledge is light and Ignorance is darkness” – the school combines a sound academic education with a strong Islamic ethos, nurturing each child’s intellectual, moral and spiritual development. It follows the national CAPS curriculum, leading to the National Senior Certificate (matric) at the end of Grade 12, across the Foundation, Intermediate, Senior and FET phases. Islamic studies and values are woven through school life alongside the mainstream academic programme.
As a community-rooted independent school, Roshnee Islamic School emphasises discipline, character and a supportive, family-oriented environment, complementing academics with sport and cultural activities. It does not offer boarding. Tuition fees vary by grade; full fee and admissions details are available directly from the school’s admissions office.
