St Dunstan’s College is a leading independent, Anglican, co-educational school in Rynfield, Benoni, on Johannesburg’s East Rand. Founded in 1918 and operating under the Diocese of the Highveld, it brings together a Pre-School, Preparatory School and College as a single unit, educating around 1,200 pupils from Grade 0000 to Grade 12. The school’s motto, “I Serve,” reflects an ethos grounded in Anglican Christian values and civic responsibility, captured in its vision “to inspire so that all flourish.”

Academically, St Dunstan’s writes the IEB National Senior Certificate and has maintained a 100% matric pass rate since the College’s inception in 1995, with a Bachelor-degree pass rate consistently above 90%. Teaching is supported by smart boards, computer and media centres and a strong technology programme, and the school runs its own Educational Support Centre to mentor newly qualified teachers.

Co-curricular life is broad and well-resourced. Sport includes cricket, rugby, football, hockey, water polo, swimming, tennis, netball, basketball, squash, athletics, badminton, archery and biathle, while the arts are anchored by the E John Butler Centre for the Arts, with music (including individual tuition and international exams), drama and visual art.

Facilities are extensive: an auditorium, chapel, two sports pavilions, an artificial hockey turf, a water polo pool, squash courts, grass and artificial cricket pitches, and tennis, netball, basketball, rugby and football fields. St Dunstan’s is a day school (no boarding). Recent annual fees range from roughly R60,000 in the early grades to around R139,000 in the senior years, with limited Grade 8 scholarships available; full fee and admissions details are available from the school.
